All checklists that have been completed should remain on the register regardless of whether the template is active/inactive. We have checklists that have superseded old ones or checklists that are no longer required, however if we deactivate the checklist template the completed checklists no longer appear on the register, rendering the information inaccessible for the purposes of record keeping or retrieving old information. The checklist register should be a complete history of completed checklists except for those that have been manually deleted.
